These awards was established by the EGSS and first offered in spring 2007. We have had a wonderful response and are pleased to be able to recognize the fantastic work of the graduate students in the Faculty of Education. Four awards exist, as outlined below. Applications will be distributed in March and generally have a deadline in early May.

This award was established to recognize the community leadership and professional involvement of a Master’s student in the Faculty of Education. Valued at $500, this is granted to a student (full-time or part-time) who has been enrolled in a non-thesis degree for at least one semester. The purpose of this award is to recognize a student who has applied his/her academic learning and made a distinctive contribution to the profession or wider community. The award recipient will be selected on the basis of involvement in community and professional activities above and beyond program requirements, as demonstrated through the student’s personal statement and curriculum vitae, as well as academic merit in terms of grade point average and other academic distinctions.
