Jessica Toste EGSS President 2006-2008

Thanks for visiting the EGSS website! I am a PhD student in the Department of Educational & Counselling Psychology and left my role as President to complete a year as a Canada-U.S. Fulbright Scholar and visiting researcher at the Florida Center for Reading Research in Tallahassee, FL. The EGSS plays an important role in the Faculty of Education – ensuring that graduate student voices are heard and represented through representation on academic committees, providing resources and information, organizing an annual conference that brings together faculty and students from across four unique units, and hosting social events. Being involved with the EGSS for many years (my first year as the Departmental Representative for ECP) has been a wonderful experience and has given me the opportunity to develop personal and professional relationships, as well as begin dialogues with faculty members and students across McGill. EGSS has certainly been a wonderful part of my grad school experience!
