The Amazing World of Insects! 1
is led by Sarah Wilson — For grades 4 – 6
Insects are the most diverse and abundant animals on the planet. They’re everywhere — from the depths of the jungle to the middle of the desert to your backyard. People farm them, poison them, put them to work, and eat them! Come learn about the amazing world of insects by going on scouting missions, designing and creating insect traps, building an ant farm, identifying collected specimens, visiting the Insectarium at the Botanical Gardens, and building insect homes. You’ll also be able to preserve your favourite insect in a pendant to take home.
This activity will be repeated in weeks 3 and 4 as The Amazing
