Have you ever been to China? China has always held a fascination for people; its long history, its philosophies and its unique culture. Are you interested in Chinese culture and the Chinese language? Do you know that only 152 characters make up 50% of all spoken and written Chinese? Don’t you agree that it would be great — and smart — to learn to speak Chinese? You will have fun learning Chinese characters and Chinese traditional holidays? Do you know about the Panda Bear? Have you ever watched a Chinese Animation? Do you know how can we use the keyboard to input Chinese words? We will also prepare some Chinese food, and play some Chinese games. At end of the program, we will visit the Chinatown of Montreal, and explore its history.

This activity will be repeated in weeks 3 and 4 as China Desk 2
