| Intermediate Program Draw and Tell: Creating Stories with Word and Image is led by Vida Simon — For grades 4 – 9 Do you have stories–imagined or from your own life–that you wouldlike to express on paper? Or maybe you are fascinated by pictures that tell stories without words? This workshop will focus on various ways of storytelling through word and image relations. You will learn drawing techniques, develop storyboards, invent your own handlettering, and create a unique bookwork. As inspiration we will look at examples of illustrated manuscripts, graphic novels, and contemporary art. Materials will include pencil, charcoal, and pen and ink.
