Fabric Fantastic 1
is led by Laurel Hart — For grades 4 – 9

In this workshop you will get to explore working with fabrics in new, multi-cultural and ancient ways. Learn how to dye fabrics with natural items found “around the house,” (including found plant and flower imprints), and learn about synthetic dyes as you experiment with Japanese Shibori dying. Use your fabrics for quilting and learn how to create fun and easy softie creatures out of felt and stuffing! You can also try your hand at weaving with your own kool-aid dyed wool, and you might also be able to look forward to an awesome surprise project or two.
