Intermediate Program
Playmaking
101
is led by Talya Rubin For grades 4 9

How do you tell a story with new and unexpected dramatic flair?
What makes the characters you create fascinating to watch and
play? How do we know where you are when you walk across the
stage? When is an object not what it seems? Come and explore imaginative
ways to make theatre that will keep your audience hooked. We will
look at how to make plays using paintings, photographs, comics, news
articles, poems, fables, myth, music, objects and costumes for inspiration.
Groups will work on building their own original 5-10 minute creations
for presentation at the end of the two weeks.
This activity will be repeated in weeks 3 and 4 as Playmaking 101
2.
