Theatresports and Beyond!
is led by Scott Faulconbridge— For grades 4 – 9

Theatresports and Beyond is an excellent way to learn about the exciting world of improv. Students are trained to use their imagination by exploring theatre games originally developed by Keith Johnstone. In the process, the students develop artistically by using their imagination, spontaneity and wit. Important Improv Concepts like listening, yielding, and advancing are just some of the building blocks to help young improvisers create brand new worlds. Their theatre skills are also honed as the class works on storytelling and creating characters. Students will also be introduced to basic scene work (without games) and other improve infl uences(Second City, ComedySports, Del Close, etc). The course is a fun way to learn basic improv and performance skills from Scott Faulconbridge, a founding
member of ‘On the Spot’ Improv.
