| Junior Program Merrill's Group Kindergarten -Grade 1 campers Participating for the first 2 weeks( weeks 1&2) Dinosaurs “If I could be a dinosaur, I wouldn’t talk, I’d only roar! I’d stomp around and shake the ground, if I were a dinosaur.” What was it like to live in the land before time? Let’s explore this land and time and learn about the wonderful creatures called dinosaurs. Where did Apatosaurus lay her eggs, what was Pteradon’s favourite dish and how wide was his wingspan? How fast could Compsognathus run? How many boney plates did Stegosaurus have? We will answer many questions and explore this world through science, art, music, poetry and literature. Through discussions we will learn to make comparisons, to observe, categorize and theorize. We will use our imaginations and invent new dinosaurs and discuss what would happen if they came back today. We will become paleontologists and discover what land and rocks tell us about these creatures. Most important of all, we will have fun learning!!! |
