WHO
WE ARE
Summer Day Camp
(Ages 4 - 18)
EXPLORATIONS, sponsored by McGill University and
the English Montreal School Board, brings together kids and professionals
in a setting designed to be fun, exciting, and challenging to young
minds. A wide variety of programming is available, with many
options to accommodate the individual needs and interests of your
child in music, science, theatre, arts, media, etc...
What makes Explorations unique amongst camps?
Explorations is different from other camps in that the staff are professional
teachers. They are not counsellors. They are teachers from the public
and private sector schools. In addition, Explorations is eclectic.
It is NOT a sports camp.
It is NOT a computer camp, nor an arts/drama camp, etc.
It is a little bit of everything.
English Integration.
Intermediates and seniors can register for our ESL group where campers
are only taught English. These campers are TRUE beginners in English.
They do not select activities- they participate in the ESL group
all day.
However, if the camper has some facility
in the English language, the student may participate in the regular
intermediate activities. There, he/she will be motivated to speak
English, stimulated by the interesting activity in which he/she
is participating.
