| Outstanding Dissertation Award - National Council on Problem Gambling
Congratulations to Jeff Powell, who is the 2003 recipient of the Outstanding Dissertation Award from the National Council of Problem Gambling.
Jeff completed his doctoral studies in February and has been invited to present a paper based on his dissertation at the National Conference of Problem Gambling to be held in June in Louisville, Kentucky.
The Council gives awards annually at the doctoral and masters levels for research "that has the potential to contribute to our scientific knowledge and clinical understanding of problem and pathological gambling behavior."
Previous award winners from McGill have been Rina Gupta (Dissertation Award, 1999), Karen Hardoon (Masters Thesis Award, 1999), and Jennifer Felsher (Masters Thesis Award, 2002).
