Please be advised Facilities Management is continuing with its annual ULC testing of the fire systems in all of the McGill University’s buildings. The company Simplex has been awarded the contract, which involves verifying all components of the fire detection and suppression (if available) systems within each building.

The testing will start at approximately 7:00 AM with the ringing of the fire bells. This will last approximately 30 minutes. The remaining testing of the detectors will continue throughout the day until 3:00 PM and should not cause any inconvenience. A Building Services staff member will be accompanying the Simplex technician.Dates:

Education -January 29, 30, 31 and February 1, 2002

Please make sure you apply for an annual renewal of ethical acceptability for your grant. If you have not changed the study, or the protocol, just complete the signature page of the Certificate of Ethical Acceptability for Research with Humans. Include the title of the grant, granting agency, your signature and check off the section Annual Renewal

Members of the Faculty of Education must ensure that all research that involves human subjects requires review and approval by the Ethical Review Committee of the Faculty of Education at McGill University.

No Research can be conducted with human subjects unless they have first provided the researchers with their informed consent and the means of obtaining informed consent has been approved the Ethics Review Committee of the Faculty of Education.
