Workshop on Stylistic Publication "Rules"
Dean Bruce Shore and Prof. Frank Dumont will conduct a 2-hour workshop, January 21, on the "style sheet" adopted by the Canadian Psychological Association and the American Psychological Association for theses, manuscript submissions to their journals and other Social Science and educational periodicals, monographs, books, etc. Their primary source will be the latest (i.e., 5th) edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association. The session, which Bruce and Frank will make as interactive as practicable, will focus on new specifications (such as documenting materials from electronic media), as well as on the well established publishing conventions of our disciplines. All students (and other members of the Faculty of Education) are invited. The session will be conducted in room ED #129, and will run from 14h30 (2:30) to 16h30 (4:30). Stay as long as you can and wish.
