Bertha (Merovitz) Rohr
(Teacher at both WHHS and MHS - taught speech and drama, retired in 1970 and attended 2003 Reunion)  
        
Bertha Rohr at July 2003 Reunion (George Novosel behind her) ROHR, Bertha (nee Merovitz). Peacefully in her ninety-sixth year on Sunday, July 17, 2005. Beloved wife of the late Peter. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Moishe and Rivella Rohr, Rosalee and the late Martin Rohr, Elaine and Harry Glazer. Cherished grandmother of 9 and proud great grandmother of 32. Devoted sister and sister-in-law of Mel and Pearl Merovitz, Ida and the late Sam Rosenburg, Annie and the late Alex Albert, Edith and Leonard McKinley, the late Ethel Miller, the late Lilliane Blumberg, the late Gertrude Weinberg. She will be sadly missed by her many dear relatives, friends and the many pupils she taught during her years as a devoted teacher.

Malcolm Renshaw
Photo couresy of Harald Wolf Concordia BA 59, died December 31 2004  in Montreal. Malcolm first enrolled in Sir George Williams Elementary School at age 11, and continued his studies at Sir George through high school and university. In 1961 Malcolm started a teaching career at Monklands High School in Montreal, where he remained until his retirement in 1982. He was a member of the board of directors of the Association of Alumni of Sir George Williams University from 1978 to 2004, and was especially active on the fundraising committee, where his dedication helped raise thousands of dollars for the Sir George Williams Endowment Fund. He is survived by his children Douglas, David, Donald, Catherine and Steve. Malcolm was 87.

Ivy Constance Jennings
Passed away on Friday, February 1, 2008 at Baycrest Hospital, Toronto. Ivy taught English at both the elementary and high school levels in Montreal and Sept Isle. She became a guidance counsellor and later vice principal at the former LaSalle High School. She interrupted her career in education to become the CEO of a successful family business in Trinidad and Tobago. She later returned to education as a school principal with the North York School Board until she retired. She was active in the Black community and generously engaged the youth of the community. She was a founding member of the Quebec Board of Black Educators. Ivy will be sadly missed for the leadership and inspiration that she gave to her family, colleagues and friends who will always cherish her memory.

Janet Miller
Died on Tuesday, March 28th 2006 at Vancouver General Hospital. Born May, 23, 1923 in Dumbarton, Scotland, Janet emigrated to Canada in 1948. She lived and taught in Toronto, Nova Scotia, and for many years at
Monklands High School in Montreal. Janet retired to Vancouver in 1980. She is survived by her brother Dave (Aileen), niece Margaret O'Brien (Sandy and Katie), nephew John O'Brien, nephews and nieces David, Duggie, Andrew, Susan
and Katy Miller and their families. Many thanks to the staff at Chalmers Lodge and the Vancouver General Hospital. No service at Janet's request. Vancouver Sun on 3/30/2006.
