KELEBAY, Yarema Gregory (Gerry). Passed away peacefully on Monday, November 3, 2008 at the Montreal General Hospital after a brief illness. Beloved husband of Diana Grafton and loving father of Alexandra and Katie, cherished son of Irene and the late Konstantyn Kelebay. Dear brother to George (Christine) and uncle to Tania and Odessa. Will be sadly missed by Diana's family: her mother Pat Grafton, brother Scott (Anna) and nieces Victoria and Laura. Gerry enjoyed many rewarding years as an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education at McGill University. He was an active and committed member of the Ukrainian Community, for which he was recently presented with the Order of Ukraine. The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff of the Montreal General Hospital Palliative Care Unit for their special care and compassion. Visitation will take place at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White, 5610 Sherbrooke St. West (corner Marcil), Montreal, (514) 483-1870 on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 10 p.m., Panachyda at 8 p.m. Funeral will be held at the Ukrainian Catholic Parish of St. Basil the Great, 875 Provost (9th Avenue), Lachine on Thursday, November 6, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make a donation to the Loyola High School Foundation, 7272 Sherbrooke St. West, Montreal, Quebec, H4B 1R2, or to the Shevchenko Foundation to establish a scholarship fund in Yarema Kelebay's memory.
