In 1847,
Queen Emma, wife of King Kamehameha IV of Hawaii, had a piano imported
from Dresden, Germany. The piano took many months to arrive in Hawaii
and is now at the Queen Emma Summer Palace (Hanaiakamalama) on the Pali
highway above Honolulu, Oahu.
