St.
John's Anglican church was established in 1849 in Kildare, Quebec
(today called St-Ambroise-de-Kildare) a few miles from Rawdon, Quebec.
Its cemetery was established earlier in 1841 and is still in St.
Ambroise-de-Kildare. When the church was no longer used,
it was acquired by Mr. Earle Moore and moved several miles to a
property he owned in Masonville, Quebec, a suburb of Rawdon. The
church is in remarkably good condition, is well-maintained and is still
occasionally used for weddings and other special events. The
following pictures were taken on August 17, 2008.
