Amsleigh Park Primary School is the new name of the school located on State Street in East Oakleigh. In earlier times it was known as East Oakleigh State School. Since opening in 1929 there have been four different names for the school. There may be two names but it is the same building where we all walked the same halls. As a former pupil of the school (1950-1954) I think it would be a wonderful present for the current students of Amsleigh Park Primary School if all we 'oldies' were to create A Pictoral History of Our School.
Do you have any old photographs of the school building at various times in its history? Do you have any staff photos? Any old textbooks? I have a copy of the school history I received in 1974 and 2 classroom photographs. Let me know what you can contribute by contacting me via email or regular mail. You will be credited with any contribution we use. Thanks for your cooperation.
